Qatar Embassy Participates in the Launch of Qatar Charity’s Economic Empowerment Project in Gambia

The Third Secretary of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Banjul, Mr. Saad Ali Jabara, participated in the official launch ceremony of the Economic and Development Empowerment Project, implemented by Qatar Charity in Gambia,on May 06,2025. The event was held at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Center in Bijilo, under the patronage of the Vice President of the Republic of Gambia, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Jallow. The project aims to support the most vulnerable groups and contribute to recovery efforts from the recent disasters the country has experienced. In his speech, the Vice President emphasized the importance of this support, highlighting that the project’s goals align with the priorities of the national development agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. He also praised the effective partnership between Qatar Charity and the National Disaster Management Agency, commending the organization’s efforts in promoting development and supporting local communities. At the end of his speech, the Vice President conveyed the gratitude and appreciation of His Excellency the President of the Republic, the government, and the people of Gambia to the State of Qatar and Qatar Charity for this generous humanitarian initiative.

On the occasion of the celebration of the National Day of the State of Qatar

On the occasion of the celebration of the National Day of the State of Qatar,the Embassy of the State of Qatar in The Gambia hosted a dinner at the Serdaoud Jawara International Conference Hall in Banjul on Wednesday,December 18,2024. His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed bin Ali Al Kuwari received His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, Dr.Mamadou Tangara, His Excellency the Minister of Transport, Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Ebrima Syllah, His Excellency the minister of Higher Education, Professor Pierre Gomes, Her Excellency the Minister of Baisc and Secondary Education, Ms Hadi Jallow Saye, His excellency the Speaker of the Gambian Parliament, Mr. Fabacre Tombong Jatta, His Excellency the Chief Justice of The Gambia, Mr.Hassan Abubakar Jallow, and a number of senior officials in the country and members of diplomatic missions accredited to The Gambia. His Excellency the Ambassador delivered his speech and praised the Qatari-Gambian relations that have developed significantly in the past years. For his part, the Gambian Foreign Minister thanked Qatar for its support to the Gambia in various fields.
