The Third Secretary of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Banjul, Mr. Saad Ali Jabara, participated in the official launch ceremony of the Economic and Development Empowerment Project, implemented by Qatar Charity in Gambia,on May 06,2025.
The event was held at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Center in Bijilo, under the patronage of the Vice President of the Republic of Gambia, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Jallow.
The project aims to support the most vulnerable groups and contribute to recovery efforts from the recent disasters the country has experienced. In his speech, the Vice President emphasized the importance of this support, highlighting that the project’s goals align with the priorities of the national development agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. He also praised the effective partnership between Qatar Charity and the National Disaster Management Agency, commending the organization’s efforts in promoting development and supporting local communities.
At the end of his speech, the Vice President conveyed the gratitude and appreciation of His Excellency the President of the Republic, the government, and the people of Gambia to the State of Qatar and Qatar Charity for this generous humanitarian initiative.
